Black and white abstract art does not get any deeper than Black Confetti. Painted entirely using black and white hues, this beautiful piece of abstract monochrome painting is the creation of Arizona based self-taught artist KR MOEHR.

Black Confetti was painted entirely on a gallery-wrapped canvas and is ready to hang with brilliant white sides. The neutral black shades work to highlight the white figures within the painting. Look closely, and it's not hard to see the feathers on the wings of barely visible birds. While it may not have been intentional, it does lend intrigue to the piece.

It is one of the few extra-large art paintings that makes clever use of white as the primary color. Too often, white isn't the subject of the painting like it is with Black Confetti. However, KR tends to rely a lot on white to tell a surreal story which, to some, maybe of nature, and to others of varying light patterns.

It is one of those expressionism/expressionist-style abstract art pieces that grab your attention, making it hard not to notice and wonder about its meaning.

Black Confetti, in our opinion, is one of the artist’s finest pieces of black and white abstract art. She has been able to pull off what many believe a difficult feat of revealing just enough thorough the use of monochrome colors and yet begging the viewer to look closer.

The painting conveys a feeling of positivity; yet it is emotionally calming at the same time. It would look great in any size living room, but perhaps many people will reserve this piece of art to the bedroom owing to its almost relaxing vibe. Either way, it will brighten up most homes with its muted symbolism embedded within shades of black and white hues.
